The uniquely named Shotgun Honeymoon was born in Lexington, KY. Growing up on a steady diet of Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and The Dave Matthews Band, his music strongly reflected those influences from the beginning. He was inspired by how these acts could strip everything down into an incredible acoustic performance and then plug in and rock the house down. although his acoustic-based songwriting didn’t take root until his college days at Florida State University.Enlisting the help of producer Jeff Trott (who helped co-write such hits as “Soak Up the Sun” and “Every Day Is a Winding Road” with Sheryl Crow), Honeymoon recorded the debut LP Foregone Conclusion and released the record in September 2007.
